Abel Moulton's Co., Col. Jonathan Titcomb’s Reg. when Rhode Island was threatened, in 1782.  A member of the committee of Safety, captain of the militia as early as 1785, major in 1786, and colonel in 1788, familiarly known as the "Old Colonel".
